CAV Reopening

Following Stage 4 restrictions imposed by the Victorian government, the CAV building and premises will be closed until further notice.

Formed in 1982, the Chinese Association of Victoria is the largest Chinese-Australian Association in Victoria and has a proud history.

From the five-acre club facility that it owns in Wantirna, the CAV conducts numerous activities including a weekend Chinese language school, Ballroom Dancing, Table Tennis, Tai Ji, and Karaoke for its 1000+ members. It is a registered Not-for-Profit charity organisation.

Get Involved

Come join our community! Aside from a myriad of weekly activities, come meet and interact with other people and make new friends. Bring your children along to our many cultural events, so they can learn something about their cultural heritage.

CAV School

The CAV School will be closed until the start of Term Three (18/19 July).   The starting date for Term Three will be reviewed pending further advice from the Education Department regarding the implications of COVID-19 for Victoria Schools.

Our Mission & Vision

Promoting Chinese language, art, dance and music; and to preserve the Chinese Heritage

We encourage integration with Australian society, and actively support multiculturalism in Australia. The Chinese have a rich cultural heritage which we can share with other Australians and ethnic communities. We promote greater understanding and appreciation of the Chinese Community in Australia. At the same time we look after the Chinese welfare and cater to our special needs.

We play an active and positive role in affairs which fall into our Objectives.
