Karaoke Social GroupSpontaneity, a positive attitude, fun, playfulness, humour and an atmosphere of approval
Karaoke is a Japanese word which means ’empty orchestra’, but there’s nothing empty about it.
What makes karaoke special is that everyone has a lot of fun. It releases stress and builds a bond with all those who are giving it a try. We applaud everyone because anyone who dares to sing is a winner.
Love to Sing?
Not a professional singer? It doesn’t matter. Neither are we – but we all share a common interest and we encourage each other.
The Karaoke Social Group
The Karaoke subgroup meets twice a month at the CAV centre every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
We have a Touch screen Karaoke system with 13,000 English and 25,000 Cantonese and Mandarin songs. You may also bring your own favourite VCDs or DVDs. We have a large screen and a good sound system for you to experience ‘singing on stage’ in the CAV Hall. The spacious hall is also suitable for dancing whilst others are singing.
We are a fun group of people and if you love singing, no matter how good or bad you are, come along and join us.

“Singing is a hobby of many people. Through singing, we can express our feelings as well as de-stress and have fun!
Laughing and smiling are healthy things to do, by coming every first and third Sunday of the month to CAV Karaoke, you can do all of these, and much, much more!
I encourage you to come along with some friends, laugh, sing and have plenty of fun!”
