CAV is celebrating Lunar New Year to welcome the Year of the Ox on Sunday 21st February 2021.
This is an outdoor, picnic style event and is open to CAV school students and their immediate family members ONLY.
All families (students, parents and siblings) must register for the event. This will assist us in controlling the number of participants and manage food catering requirements. Once you have registered, we will send you a confirmation email with a ticket which has a unique number. Please print the ticket and bring it with you on that day, you will need the ticket to pick up your food.
Sunday 21st February, is a normal school day, and all classes start at 9:30 am as usual.
With the exception of Sunday class students, on that day, all other attendees must report to the information desk using their ticket numbers . Desk opens at 9:30 am.
The event will start at 10:00 am and finish at 1:00 pm. It will be held on the school lawn.
- Lion Dance
- CAV school performances
- Giving red packets to all children
- Cooking demonstration
- Free lucky draw, prizes include special Lego sets and hampers
- Display of giant “Flying Dragon” kite
- Free refreshments will be served

Covid Restrictions and Wet Weather Plan
The event is subject to change due to bad weather conditions or COVID restrictions.
Hand sanitizers will be available, and all participants are required to sign in using the CAV QR code on entry to the venue. Please car pool where possible, as there will be many school students and parents attending.
There will be some marquis (tents) around the field, and the CAV Hall will be opened should shelter from the rain be required.
