Twenty persons took part in the golfing/fishing excursion to Port Fairy. In the group were 15 golfers who played twice at Port Fairy GC and 8 played at Warrnambool GC on the way up to PF. Both courses were challenging and in excellent condition and we were lucky to have very little rain during play.
Saturday was nominated the competition day as the group dinner was held on that evening when the winners were announced.
1st prize Tammy Ong at 36 pts.
2nd prize Hock Lye Khaw at 34 pts.(CB)
3rd prize Mun Goh at 34 pts.
Our group had our own room for our a la carte dinner in the Caledonian Hotel Bistro which provided a great ambience for all to end a lovely day.
Sunday was a sunny day for our 2nd game of golf at Port Fairy GC, teeing off at 10.00am and finished before 3.00pm to be on our way back to Melbourne.
Although the fishermen caught only small fish, all in all everyone had a great weekend outing, with the Saturday morning town market as an added bonus.
Thank-you to all taking part for your good company.
