It was a glorious and sunny Sunday for the Valentine Shield competition yesterday and the field of 28 players enjoyed the golf course at Portsea. The winning couple was Ricky & Rebecca Chan with an aggregate Stableford score of 69 pts(c/b), runner up couple was Chee Mun & Helen Leong(69). A total of 6 couples scored 60 and above (2 balls each). Highest individual score: Ladies, Rebecca Chan, 38 pts. Mens, Frank Chew, 40 pts. NTTP: Hole 7th and Hole 16th, Ricky Chan,( 2 balls X 2) Winning Lucky Draw : golf for two with cart at Portsea GC went to Christian & Ann Drescher. The Valentine's Day was completed with a sumptuous 8 course banquet with dessert at MaBrown's restaurant during the evening, when all the presentations were awarded to the winners. Our thanks to Edward & Venus Ko, who were last year's winning couple, for providing a Valentine gift to every couple at the dinner.
