Categories of Membership

ORDINARY MEMBER
 
Any person of Chinese origin aged 18 years or above who is an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia shall be eligible to be an ordinary member.
 
ASSOCIATE MEMBER:

Any other person aged 18 years or above who is interested in furthering the purposes set in the Statement of Purposes of the Association shall be eligible to be an associate member.

LIFE MEMBER:

Any member of the Association shall be eligible to be a Life member upon payment in advance of the life membership fee or such payments prescribed by the Executive Committee from time to time.

FOUNDATION MEMBER:

In recognition of their contribution, all the earlier members who provided the 15 year interest free loans to the Association were conferred the status of “Foundation” members.

HONORARY FELLOW:

Any ordinary member who has contributed distinguished services to the Association or to the Chinese community in Australia may be made an Honorary Fellow on the recommendation of the Executive Committee and approval of two thirds of all ordinary members at any Annual General Meeting.

HONORARY MEMBER:
                  
Any person, other than a member, of Public distinction may be made an Honorary Member on the recommendation of the Executive Committee and approval of two thirds of all ordinary members at any Annual General Meeting.
