Curriculum

The scope and sequence of the CAV Chinese School has been written based on the VCE Study Design and the Victorian Essential Learning Standard. Other material useful to the teaching of Chinese Language and Culture are also included.

Text Books

The school is using the Chinese textbook <<Han Yu>> with simplified characters and pinyin. We also have a variety of audio-visual support materials, relating to Chinese culture, geography, history and customs.

选用教材

以《汉语》教材为主，《儿童华语课本》，《你好》，《中文》等教材为辅助教材，这些教材是专门为海外华人子女编写的，学校将免费提供给学生。

Facilities

The school is equipped with computers, laptops and projectors, televisions, DVD and CD players to support teaching and learning. Our students are encouraged to use the Chinese software for their assignments and presentation. Our library has a collection of various reference materials for use by students and teachers. These resources support and enrich classroom programs. We plan to restart our borrowing library so that students can borrow books to take home.

设备

学校有自己的校舍，图书馆，会议室，大礼堂，儿童游乐区，教室配有电脑，电视机等等。

Other Activities

The CAV runs various activities such as
- Chinese Cultural Dance
- Tai Chi
- Table Tennis, etc

All students and parents are welcome to join any of the activities. The CAV Chinese School is open to all students and members of the public.

课外活动

每年举办大型的传统节日如春节，端午节和中秋节的庆祝活动，还设有乒乓球，民族舞蹈班，太极武术班等等。
